I am Philip Godwin, the Managing Director and founder of NetImpact Consulting & Advisory Ltd. With 42 years of wide ranging carrier and broker experience in the insurance & reinsurance industry, I am able to confidently understand the interests and needs of insurers, reinsurers, brokers and global risk transfer parties.

My expertise includes helping facilitate individual claims solutions and crafting and delivering tactical business solutions through to developing and executing strategic initiatives. I have engaged with stakeholders on a worldwide basis and navigated all the major international insurance and reinsurance markets including Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.

My approach is founded on unwavering integrity and skilled diplomacy, paired with an unrelenting commitment to getting results.

I have founded NetImpact Consulting to partner with Clients to positively change their future by helping deliver the business outcomes they require, not to maintain the status quo.

Head of Claims, Lloyd's

Served as Head of Claims at Lloyd's for a decade, from 2015 to 2024, marking the longest tenure this role has been held.

Delivered specialised expertise in overseeing and enhancing claims performance, managing catastrophe response, navigating intricate and challenging claims situations, and addressing intra-market disputes.

Claims Director, RK Carvill

Served as the Claims Director for RK Carvill, a prominent independent brokerage renowned for its expertise in addressing the intricate needs of Clients and for solving complex problems.

A Board Director of Carvill London and a founding member of Reinsurance Service Projects Ltd, a specialist firm aiding reinsurance buyers to recover disputed and denied claims.

Non-Exec Chairman, XCS

Served as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Board for XCS from 2017 to 2022, including Chair of the Audit Committee.

XCS - Xchanging Claims Services (now Velonetic) - specialises in claims processing and offers expert claims leadership services for the London and global insurance and reinsurance markets, handling over 1.6 million claims transactions in 2023.

Regulatory

Extensively engaged with insurance regulators both in the United Kingdom and on an international scale, including direct, local face-to-face interactions in the aftermath of catastrophic incidents.

Tactical Solutions

Acted in both a leadership and a technical expert capacity designing, developing and implementing a comprehensive array of tactical claims initiatives and solutions.
